Were you the victim of a crime in Mason County? Our Victim Advocate Office is prepared to help you through the judicial process.  Our Victim Advocate will help you by answering questions about your case and by helping you compile the evidence needed to seek restitution and/or other forms of compensation that may be available. 

Some typical types of crimes we handle include:

Theft Crimes


These crimes include larceny, burglary, and transferring/receiving stolen property.

Elder Crimes


Seniors are some of the most susceptible to these crimes, which often include forgery and other fraud.

Financial Crimes


These crimes often include forgery/uttering, worthless checks, fraudulent schemes, and embezzlement.

Domestic Abuse


These crimes occur when a member of a household physically assaults another member.

Sexual Abuse


These crimes involve statutory rape, sexual abuse by a parent/guardian, or by abuse by a person of trust.

Public Corruption


These crimes occur when a state, county, or municipal government official commits fraud, abusing the public's trust. 

Drug Crimes


Drug crimes range from simple possession of controlled substances to possession of controlled substances with the intent to deliver.

Property Crimes


These crimes include Breaking and Entering, Breaking Without Entering, Burglary, and Trespass.
